Clare is an AHPRA registered acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist and is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Science in Chinese Medicine and a PhD in Neuroscience. This unique combination allows her to research and understand many health-related conditions from different points of view.

Clare is particularly passionate about how Chinese and Western medicine may be used to complement each other to improve a person’s health and wellbeing. Continuous learning is a key pillar of her practice and she is committed to furthering her knowledge in both traditional Chinese and Western medicine. In 2017 she undertook an internship in Taiwan, at the Tzu Chi Buddhist hospital, where she was able to observe and gain inspiration for the effective integration of Chinese and Western medicine.

Clare has a compassionate, caring and extremely gentle treatment approach and is always trying the absolute best for her patients. In her treatments, she carefully considers all facets of her patient’s health, including their current and previous condition’s, family history and their emotional well-being, from which she develops an individualised treatment plan for each patient.

Clare is interested in a wide range of conditions, from pain management and chronic illnesses like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and autoimmune conditions, to insomnia and stress relief. She also has wide-ranging experience in treating women’s health issues such as endometriosis, PCOS and fertility and has a thorough understanding of IVF. She is committed to helping people recover from illness and to assisting them maintain the best possible levels of physical and emotional health .

Clare currently practices in two locations. In West Footscray she can be found on Tuesday’s at POD Workspaces. On other days she operates two clinics in East Melbourne: East Melbourne Acupuncture, covering general health issues and the The Melbourne Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic, which incorporates clinics in Sydney and the Central Coast and focuses primarily on fertility and pregnancy related issues. Clare’s treatments are covered by all major health funds and her patients are eligible for private health insurance rebates on consultations.
